If I Welded It The Drive Shaft Would Allways Be Spining Correct? But Is There Any Problems That Could Cause If I Want To Dayley Drive It Ever Again?
why?
ok this is what i was thinking. tell me if im wrong. if i weld the carrier and put it in 4x4 then they are locked together? then when i un lock it the drive shaft will still spin because the drivers side is still locked but the passinger side will be un locked so it will make turns? im just gonna pull it 4x4 not go 4wheelin in it so turning wont be an issue pulling? corect?
I welded the 60 in my 01 puller. Worked great. You would never know it was welded till you put it in 4wheel. One word of warrning, I had one of those gay adrenaline setups that died at the end of the pull things going on last season, and it is a real pain to get a welded front end truck off the track when it dont start. No vaccum means no shift out of 4 wheel witch means no turning with big low pressure tires. There are manual release cables out there for that tho.
I've broke my ARB twice--I first installed it in '00 or '01 and broke it '04 I think and then rebroke it in '07 --I put a spool in the front along with the EMS extreme kit and did away with the 2pc front axle vacuum--unfortunately for me I had tons of probs getting parts and other things and I haven't been back on the track since---anyway the ARB is nice but it will break at some point--chris
