fuel cannister????

i have an 01 ctd that i have an raptor 150 on i have a filter setup that i want to run just before the LP i was wondering if i run that i should be able to remove the stock cannister correct?? and dumb question is the plugin on the side of the cannister just a water in fuel sensor or is it fuel heater not sure if the 01 had a heater? and what would i do with that if i removed the cannister?? any help would be cool! thanks.

The 01 does have both a water sensor and a fuel heater in the stock canister, but all you have to do is unplug them to remove the canister. So yes, you can do what you are talking about.

What he said!! Cover that water in fuel sensor or it will come on. Unless you can ignore it.
