The fuel cell im putting in has a little 2" deep sump, maybe 6" wide. On a drag car the sump would point back to force the fuel to it, but that would complicate plumbing it up in my truck. is it going to matter if the sump is forward for street driving?

the cell is 26x17x9 or so, foam filled.

I would install it with the sump towards the rear, when you hit the skinny pedal all the fuel will go where- back by the sump.

FYI some foam will deteriorate with diesel fuel - make sure the foam in your cell is compatable, or pull it out.

I'll find out about the foam. Thanks. I don't know how well this cell will work w/o some sort of baffling, maybe I should just make a baffled cell.

Couldn't you just shim the rear side to make the forward end up higher than the rear so gravity helps a little too?

i might be able to a little, im not sure how much room im going to have after i put the cover back over the cell.

point the outlet of the tank to the rear and the outlet of the pump to the front

they make 180° fittings ya know
