Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can find a fuel cross over kit? I am going to be buying a FASS 150/180 system and Dan at FASS suggested to run the FASS into the back of the heads and connecting the front of the heads with a cross over line. Dan also said that I would need a flow control valve and a check valve. I have tried Long Island Diesel and everywhere else I can think of and I either can't find one or can't get a call back. Innovative and some others have suggested to use the RR fuel system along with the FASS. I don't want to buy a RR system due to the cost of the system and that I will not even need the regultaor that comes with it. Also, does anyone know how to run the FASS into the back of the heads? Thanks.

any reason you need to add more fuel pressure? the fass is a stand alone kit and will supply you with plenty of fuel..are you running stock sticks or?...

I am goignt o be putting 190's in the truck in the fall and I was wanting to get the fuel system squared away before I put them in.

Smart choice....Most people do the opposite then realize they have pressure drop then scramble for the funds to buy a new pump. Way to plan ahead

I wonder where he got this idea from????

I don't really like the idea of a checkvalve.
If your fuel system is holding 55-60psi fuel pressure, and you shut the truck off, it will hold the fuel pressure in the heads, because the checkvalve won't let it relive itself back through the FASS.
If there is the SMALLEST chance for a leaky o-ring on one of the injectors...guess where all the extra fuel is going, when the truck is shut off?

Even if you start your truck with zero pressure...as soon as you turn the key, the pump is on, pressuring up the whole system. The whole system has the pressure it needs before you even "Crank" the engine over.

Now as for feeding the back of the heads, good idea. (Every fuel system that I have ever run on my truck has fed the back of the heads.)
You can use the modified banjo bolts from the front, and put them on the back. You just have to cut the line, and bend them a little bit to work. The problem for most individuals is finding tube fittings for the 1/4" fuel lines.
I have a local Swagelok dealer here in town. (They are extremely expensive fittings, but you get what you pay for.) Try E-Bay...search for Swagelok.

I've never heard of feeding the back of the heads first then crossover lines on the front, would this work? If so it sure would clean up the lines running over the top of the engine.

I don't think my lines looks bad. The kit I have has everything run under the factory wiring and it looks good.

I'ts not really they look bad, I just like clean and simple and the fewer things running around the engine compartment on something that's already jumbled enough this would help unclutter it. Also keep it looking stock:evil

Makes no diference at all whether you feed the front or back of the heads.

Overkill IMHO. Not a bad thing...but not necessary as you well know.

So Ive gotten mixed signals on fuel systems for 6L trucks. When you go to a 150/180 FASS, is that enough fuel to support some 190s? Ive had people tell me you also need a regulated return system.

Yes, you will have more than enough fuel to support 190's with a FASS 150/180. I am running a FASS 150 on my truck and have had no fuel issues with my 300cc injectors yet. I also run a return regulated system that is probably not necessary but definetly not a bad way to go.

The 150/180 definitely supply's enough fuel to feed most injectors. It's fed enough fuel for the 11's, on more than one occasion. I do like the idea of a regulated return on the top of the motor. If you decide to make changes to the pump or even restrict the returned fuel, you can make the necessary adjusments easily.

Adjusting it correctly is they key. Keep them pretty close to the same pressure. I install a gauge down a the pump and up on top.

There are a ton of options for the fuel system and you really can't go wrong, as long as it's setup correctly.
