Got a 2001 dodge cummins. Appears to be leaking fuel from the drain valve while driving, but when its turned off it dose not leak at all. Would this valve need to be replaced or could it be something else?

It's getting to be a common thing for those valves to leak, you can buy a replacement valve from dodge for a reasonable price.

I went threw 3 of those damn things and it still leaked, i finally just capped it off.

Had the same problem for a while. Threatened to cap it off like Clay did and it stopped leaking on its own. If you need to drain the bowl just do it through the valve stem at the bottom of the fuel bowl if you cap off the drain.

don't buy a replacement valve from dodge!!!!!!! They tried to charge me 36 bucks for one! Pull yours off, pull it apart and replace the orings inside! that will fix your problem right up!

Sometimes, i did that twice and still leaked a bunch.
