hey everone, Can anyone explain or possibly show pics on how to turn up the fuel pressure on the fass 150, and what is the highest fuel pressure you can set on one of these. input would be great. Thanks

im pretty sure theres a spring inside of the fittting going to the vp. I think if you strech the spring it will bring it up. I did that and im running about 18lbs. All you need is 15lbs tho

Its in the return line. dont loose the ball when you pull the spring out. You might need to take it out a few times to get the pressure where you want it.

Find which line is the return line. Remove the fitting from the fass unit. right behind the fitting is a spring and behind that is a ball. take the spring out and strech it. Don't loose the ball.

Don't get crazy stretching it though. Just a little at a time. You may stretch it to much and get to much pressure that will damage your vp44. Or even cause the pump to no perform correctly. Not as familiar with the fass. Just go a little at a time and you should be ok.

The pressure spring as stated is in the fuel return line going back to the tank. Its located in the front of the main FASS block which the filters spin onto. You cans ee it clearly here on the photo of mine, its the line which bends back to the rear of the pump.......Andy

its about 12 psi and i would like it to be around 20 if possible or if thats ok?,thanks for the pic hammer!!!

Sometimes over 22lbs it wont start.25 and over is not good.(vp)I played with washers. It will move the pressure up.I now have 19 + at idle.Mine swings a little. It use to swing over 10 lbs and look spastic.I have a insert that has somekind of media in it to help the gauge not fluxuate so much.

20psi is enough to damage the diaphragm in the vp, but i dont know how long it would take.

ok i'll shoot for the 18 range ,with the 12 now,at wot it drops to low for my liking. Thanks everyone

You might have the same problem I think I have. Behind that spring is an eliptical shaped ball. Guy at FASS told sometimes they have this problem and they just replace the ball. Its like $12 shipped with a new spring.

This is a little off topic, but how often do you guys change your filters on your fass?

Mine has been on the truck since 2007 and about 45,000 miles.I changed both of mine out at 20,000 and after I cut the filter apart both times I seen I could have run it alot longer.
