SO I installed a new AFE DFS780 15PSI AT ALL TIMES! So I do a hundred mile drive and the fuel gauge goes nuts up and down hovering at 5 then zero! Rail drops and recovers truck finally dies. I see the new pump is empty and I can't get it to prime! I pull out the in tank pump and I find this!
If you upgrade your pump pull the tank sender out and inspect it! I couldn't believe the crap on the inlet totally blocked the pick up! I gutted the pump and installed a draw straw!
