fuel pump tweak

is there any way that i can tweak the pump to get more fuel without burning the stock vp44 pump
 
Oh. Well then of course you can a fueling box for more fuel, but there is nothing you can do for free, if thats what your asking.

fueling box? sorry your gonna have to help me. im slightly new to all of this,what you would call a rookie on steroids lol. everything on my truck is stock except a for a superchip that ia locked on it, the person i bought it from lost the controller. this fueling box that you talk of, is it like a plug and play piggy back harness type deal? you use it with the stock injection pump?

my original question was injection pump such as dragonfire,industrial,monster,hotrod. and what size sticks

which is the best,and how much can i push before it pushes back? really don't want to do anything internally but would like to reach possibly 500hp or so the truck will still be dd but also needs to be reliable.:blahblah1:[
 
step 1. pray you dont have a stock auto!
2. leave the pump alone.
3. get a rid of the stupid chips in the ECM the dealer or anybody with a smarty can flash it out of there.
4. get some good 150 sticks, a 62/14 turbo and a drag comp. done.

that will put me around 500? can you pm me the steps to remove the program and obviously it has to be the smarty for my year of truck correct?can i run a hot unlock comp box with a stock tranny
 
with out melting with the super chip it seems like the tranny is holding up strong other than the torque converter locking and unlocking at 45 can't figure that out either. ive tried turning the ignition on and off 3 times looking for trouble codes nothing no engine light or anything i dont know just need a little advice please
 
Stock trans will NOT hold 500hp. need a valve body and converter at the least, and you should do a flexplate and input shaft too. As far as removing the SP its just a matter of reflashing the ECM. any dealer or buddy with a smarty (works for all years 98-02) can do it in a few minutes. What year is your truck? the 45mph lock/unlock is normal you can do a switch to keep the TC locked/unlocked and that will stop the bucking it causes. Engine power is not a problem with these trucks, its getting it to the ground that is expensive!
 
Fueling box as in Comp, or Adrenaline. You still have the stock lift pump then? You'll need to upgrade that before adding injectors.
 
Turbolvr, you would'nt happen to have a link for the TC switch would you?


check out this pricy, but nice don't have to worry bout a switch to flip on/off.
i got to work all weekend but def check for codes, plus i really dont want to flash it just yet, because i have nothing to put in it. theres is no way i could drive that thing stock its slow enough as it is lol. prolly gonna have gary order a fass beg of next week though then tranny,sticks and drag box:rockwoot: then it will be game time :st:

Turbolvr, what would it take to flash his computer? Just hook my smarty up to his truck and set it back to stock?
 
yup. load a smarty tune, then unload it back to stock. smarty will flash it with the latest stock update and will enable high idle.
