so i'm grown tired of my stock lines being full of air leaks. so i ripped it all out today... and i'm loosly following the "redneck fuel system" redneck fuel system - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together here.... BUT i'm not going to be running an electric pump... just my stocker and some different fuel filters. -8 from vulcan drawstraw to single filter mounts with an FS1212 and a FF5320, then -8 to mechanical pump on the block, up to IP. From IP to aeromotive 13101 regulator back to tank. the injector return will go into the return line from regulator to tank through a 1/8" gauge port and some fittings.

NOW...... will the stock pump have issues sucking fuel through these 2 filters ? or will it be alright? it's easier to have these 2 before the pump so i can mount them under the box where they are protected and easy to change.

If need be i could always toss a holley blue or black and an inline filter between the tank and those 2 filters to help push....

or pick up one of those shurflow pumps and get rid of all the stock stuff.... i'd like to just run the mechanical pump, seeing as how the regulator should be doing it's job in keepin the pressure there.

the reason i'm doing this is to improve upon the factory setup, but keep it some what budget.

i'm aimin for somewhere around 500hp and that's it.

advice, ideas, suggestions ???
