Full manual 47re question

I have a 47re with a full manual valve body that i'm putting in my 89 first gen, for wiring od/lockup to switches do I have to get the harness that plugs into the trans and then wire off of that or can I go directly off of the plug on the trans?

You can go directly off the plug coming out of the trans.

Okay great, which exact pins do I go off of?

Just remember that it must be a good connection and keep dirt, water, and oil out. Check parts yards for a connecter.

For a 518 to 47rh, but same principle. With just toggles, you may want to do like I did, and wire in some lights to let you know what is engaged. It gets confusing sometimes!! I used floor dimmer switches.

Do I have to supply 5v to the trans? Or just switches to ground od and lock up?

12v to the center pin. Then apply ground to the other two wires to control lock up and od.
