Gauges with handhelp PC or laptop

I was on the coolingmist site and looking at there commander series that utilizes a pocket PC to display EGT's and boost and allow you to control the water injection system with it. Does anyone know of another mfg that has software and or components to use an existing computer to do this, I have an old laptop and sony handheld that are not being used might as well put them to use. And what are the opinions on cooling mist or devilsown?
