Ok there is a pull coming up. I want to pull in it but I already know I will probably bomb the clutch, it is either stock or a replacement. Here are the info:

Track: Clay with manure mixed in (4H dumping place after the fair):shake:

Truck: Mine

Class: Just 1 diesel, weight TBA

Tires: Goodyear Trackers 235/85/R16:poke: Supposed to have been AT but a BIG STORE told me that these were. They did this to me:kick: repeatedly

Rules: About as open as can be but everything must have been on the truck when it was new (ie, no turbo when bought new, no turbo when pulling)

Engine stuff: Pump turned up.:rockwoot: Probably putting out close to 200+hp

Any info would be great!

I'm assuming your '93 has 3.54s, and at 200hp with no clutch I'd go with 2nd low. You can try 3rd low, but without a clutch and some more horses you won't get far. Another option is 1st high (it's a little faster than 2nd low), but typically you wouldn't want to pull a first gen in high range.

As PSUCE said.. you'll probably end up in 2nd low.. Don't let the 2nd Gen trucks fool you, your 205 Tcase is geared differently than their 241 (or 271's) Our disadvantage is going to be weight.. most of the trucks are going to out weigh you, if you do not add weight... On sorry tracks we have pulled in 3rd with out adding weight.. and spun out.. fair tracks with added weight in 3rd, powered out.. good track puts us in 2nd... Dual Disk, with twins.. and other stuff...
But have fun... and go easy on the clutch...

This may sound stupid but how about a 1 to 2 shift in low range or is that a:badidea:

Yea.. that's bad... Just thinking of pulling something weighing in the 30,000+ range.. once its moving... and you try to shift.. push in the clutch...the truck stops.. and the sled is still moving.. now you have slack in the chain... and Ouch... or the sled hits you... I've seen people down shift.. its not pretty...
