Getting a smarty next week to stack??

I got a great deal on a smarty for my truck to stack onto the quad/adr. My question is can I run a torque tune or a dyno tune on the quad and stack a smarty with that? or do I have to just set a custom tune on the quad and set my levels on the smarty for no timing??
 
Fill out you Sig for people know what kind of truck you have and mods,then people can point you in the right direction.
