Goerend transmission, no 3rd gear

Here is what I got. Since the installation ,my tranny has failed to shift into 3rd gear pulling a sled. Low range works great off road, no problems shifting, high range works too and 2wd works fine.

Pulling scenario:

Gear selector in drive, OD off

I floor the brakes and add throttle until boost picks up and the brakes are over powered and then smoothly wood the throttle. 1st gear hits its shift point and shifts firmly into second, second gear passes its shift point and stays at max RPM and never shifts into 3rd.



Any ideas?
 
My idea would be to call Dave at 8:15 am cdt and tell him what's going on.
 
HAHA, Yeah..... having a truck worthy of a dropbox and reverser is still a little bit away. Soon as I can though.
 
Can I use a ratchet shifter and force my shifts? I am sure there maybe some TV adjustments. Would I need a manual VB?
 
You'll need a manual valve body to force the shifts.. But not to have a ratchet shifter.
 
Since it isn't neutralling, you should have a good front clutch, I would suspect possible speed sensor issue, or gov electronics issue.
 
Think I am good on fuel. I got my info back on the tranny. I may in fact be pulling 3rd gear. The converter is set up pretty loose. Launching at 2200rpm and hitting the shift into second happens in about 1 second. What may be the case is that I am not detecting the 1 2 shift where as the 2 3 shift is noticeable.

try holding it in 2nd and see what it feels like. That will give you teh 1-2 shift but not teh 2-3 then manally shove it up to 3rd to let it shift.
 
What gears are you running ? My experiance is that if i let my truck shift on it`s on it will be in 2nd gear before i know it`s shifted. I`m running 4:10 gears. Try shifting manualy but be cautious, for it will go into outer space before you can blink. I`m also running a manual valvebody so things may be different if your not.
