:bang Had a buddy call me the other day and said that there was something wrong with his truck. It was knocking REALLY bad and had no power.

So i asked him to check his codes and see what he had. He said that he only had one. the 1689 (?) companion code. I asked if there were any more but he said no.

So today i went there and checked with my smarty and got 5 codes

234
251
252

1688

Well i just looked them up and id have to say its the inj pump. Ive never seen all these codes come up for it at one time. Usually i only see the famous 216 and maybe one other or one of these codes but not all of them. Guess im going to have to break his heart now and tell him his inj is junk.

I even tried to clear the codes and start it back up but is sounded like it was knocking and missing bad. I could even clear them and the 1688 would still show up without starting the truck up. So im guessing that the pump computer is bad.

Oh well, i know its not the first and wont be the last either. Just never seen all the codes at once was all.

I was thinking the pump computer or the ECM. When i checked for the codes i couldnt get them to come up. When i cycled the key it just said p done and that was it. Thats why i was thinking the ECM. The truck sounds like it has a bad fuel knock, it almost dies just trying to idle

Is there and kinf of fueling box on the truck?

I once took my tst off to send it in to get updated but just unplug the box, still left all the map plugs in! It cause the truck to do exactly what your describing! I couldnt figure out whata it was! Reset the apps, put a new cam sensor in and it kept doing it! I was getting mad! Then a weel lated got the TST back pluged it in and everything went away! Lets just say i felt like a dumb arse!!! :bang

it puts the truck into a limp mode... when my adrenaline box fried a few months back it did the same thing, i just unplugged the quad harness and plugged the original back in......everything was fine then

No, this is a completely STOCK truck. Never been touched with any aftermarket stuff.

i dont think "a bad fuel knock and barely able to idle" is how i would describe limp mode

seeins how these truks are known for ''a glitch in the matrix'' id be checking some connections on the pass firewall and makin sure that the batts and grounds are good...seal em w/some dielectric if ya even takem apart to check em
