I took my drag comp off yesturday to sell it to my friend, well it was raining when i left and the truck started spinning. It went from first to second from second to nothing. It let out, i thought it was a u-joint so i stopped to check it out and it was fine. I started driving it and it wouldn't shift out of first on its own at all, i would have to let out. So i got it home and checked the fluid and it looked way high, and it smelled burned. So i went and got fluid and a filter, when i dropped the pan i found a Band anchor, and 2nd gear lever in the pan.....So i have carnage on a STOCK TRUCK TOO....
 
Ouch, what all had been done to your tranny before hand besides the GB triple disk? I see in your sig that you have "other odds and ends in the Tranny".
 
It sucks to be down when you're not ready. Oh well...build it back better.

i didn't have it on....i had just sold it.

See i had this tranny built a year and a half ago and its been a night mare ever sin ce day one...from them not filling the fluid up all the way first, to it stalling when i put it in gear to it not shifting out of first and now this...it was supposed to handle 700 hp or twins. i was told it had a triple disk gereond, a shift kit, and VB....well they FUC&ED me hard. and i don't honestly know how to prove it or get them back.
 
i am about to do that right now....from what i was told from another tranny builder around here that is good friends with people i know, the piece that broke is common and its not a big deal....but who knows. Well ha dave will know.
 
I have a feeling the damage was done before you took the drag comp off and the spinning tires were the last straw. Whoever built your tranny should have put in the upgraded anchor and strut. Heck I did that on mine when all I had in it was a VB. It's like $50 for the parts and you've gotta remove them to do the valvebody anyways so might as well.
 
I ordered the parts 2 days ago, and it was a total of $50.

You would think that the guys that put the tranny in would have installed a lot of things....for instance like everything they told me they were going to install...but i get screwed
 
I got the tranny out a few hours ago finally. still waiting on parts, and i need to find some other upgrades...shift kit
