got an 05 idle problem. help

I just bought me this truck. its an 05 cummins. when im in park or neutral and rev it up till 2thousand rpm it takes a while to come down. it sounds like a semi down shifting but its just rpm coming down slow. don't think its good for the truck. im new to the diesel world .need help. thanks

Tell us a little more about your truck, programing, chip etc? These common rail motor have a tendensy to hang the throttle, I notice it with my Smarty more than anything else, but usually dont notice it when letting off slowly, usually when I chop the throttle fast it will hang and come down slowly. I have noticed it with other trucks while they are pulling.

had the truck for a week now. it is stock with a predator programmer in it. has the gauges add to the pillar. and has two 8" stacks on it. and also wanting to now if i can put an 6.7L turbo on it. what will that do for my truck. thanks
