Keep it going.... cuz I'm watching! I have some to do myself coming up in the near future!

:Cheer:

thats about it for it, its already bigger than the stock gaskets.

and it took about 4 hours.

Good lord ! What was used- a hatchet?

just a coarse stone, i was going to go back and polish it all, but after seeing how bad it was stock with casting bumps and crap everywhere i left it.

the T3 flange is opened up that much because an undivided turbo is going on it.

You might as well polish it, you already went this far.

I used 120 grit cartridge rolls after chopping them out with my carbides...smoothed them out nice too. They're all black and carboned up now.
Watcha puttin' on it RC?

I probably will go back and polish it.

i think im going to get it ceramic coated, havent decided if its worth the $140 the guy wants, or if i will just hit it w/ the 2000* ceramic paint.

and an s400sx is going on it.

Ohh do tell about some 2000* ceramic paint. How to apply, where to get, does it really-really stay put?

ok, so i bought a can to try it. i put 4 coats on, one moderate, 2 light, and one moderate/heavy.

it comes in a bunch of colors, white, silver, black, red, orange, and other colors. they also have a primer and a clear, but i couldn't find the clear.

also, its about $10/can.

i bought the black, its a VERY flat black when dry.

it says to cure the paint, you can do it on the vehicle or in an oven

oven was 200* for 30 min cool for 30 min
400* for 30 min cool for 30 min
600* for 30 min cool completely

vehicle was idle for 10 min cool for 30
idle for 20 cool for 30
drive for 30 cool completely

also, i got it at advance, I'll let you guys know how it holds up.

You can buy the ceramic 2000* paint from oreillys auto parts, thats where I got mine and it held up great until I decided to make my own header and ceramic coat it for $100

yes it was sand blasted
no its not header paint
im glad to hear it holds up well, did you cure it in the oven or on the truck

That looks just like the stuff I used, I think its a nice clean looking flat black. I cured mine on the engine. I only have one oven and I didnt know how it would affect any food cooked afterwards and I dont like the taste of paint (ask me how I know).

Looks nice just cure it on the motor and all will be fine.

Oh I just found a couple cans I have clear, silver, flat black they are all made by VHT and say 1300*-2000* F
