Whats the main cause of gray smoke under load?
I am putting about 28oz of water in on a pull that last 15 seconds running 31 on the timing and at the first pull the smoke had a gray color more so than last year.I added a bigger cam and a better comp wheel and still have a ton of smoke. Boost 60 drive 60 and the external gate never opened. Would more timing help? BTW it peaked out at 1500 on the pyro.
I am working on getting the video up.

damn nice looking pull...

gray smoke can be caused by too much fuel (putting the fire out) or too much water as well. Other than your cam and wheel change, is the fuel plate in the same position as last year?

how does the water usage compare to last year?

I'm using the same amount of water and the plate is set at half way point so I have some room to back it off.

here is a video from the heavy class when I blew the boot came out about 4400 and it dropped to 3800 and started to climb. I actually adjusted the wastegate to open up a little sooner and it dropped the boost by a few ticks. Still learning how to tune the gate.

Do you have any noticeable water getting into the crankcase?

.20 over headgasket nothing off the head or block. Thinest washer on the injector. The .100 on the piston is just for the valve reliefs not the whole top.

Also it's got full cut dv's. Thought about swapping in the stock ones out of the 215 pump I have sitting there and maybe bumping the timing up some more. Weston what did you need to see on the injectors I can get some pics if you need. These are set at stock pop off.
