Anyone ever bought or sold guidance part? Where you buy or sell stuff? I upgraded to full hydro and no longer need my ontrac 2 steering unit. Any forums or websites?

Agtalk would be a good site to advertise for free. I also watch eBay for ag leader products. Tractor house has a category for them but I don't think many use or look at it

We typically try to get it listed on Tractorouse when we have something like that. Between that, and the guy we buy most of our guidance from moves quite a few systems, so most times he finds a home for them.

What did it come off of, or what brackets do you have?

Came off a 5525 John Deere open station. I have a universal mount for it and the wiring to go to an Ag leader geosteer unit. I used it one season for 6 acres and it wasn't accurate enough for me.

Who set it for you just wondering? Spent a lot of time at ag leader school, I know what you mean by not accurate enough though...

Donate it to the poor dairy farmer across town fund :lolly:

Poor dairy farmer with a well pad on the farm! Lol

Brent from agro chem did both installs. He did the best he could to get it to work but never would. Bought the geosteer when if was fairly new and we went in blind on the autotrac 2. It would probably work ok for guys running corn planters or sprayers at higher speeds but I lay plastic for strawberries at 3.5 mph and the play on my steering wheel was too much. I just went to full hydraulic steering with the geosteer and love it so far. I'm probably the only dummy with rtk hydraulic steering on a 95hp open station tractor.

Your for sure not the only one!!! I did multiple installs for vegetable farmers with 75hp max tractors... LOL

I have a customer that has it on his Kubota that he pulls his 18' finish mower with to mow his yard....

He also uses the same tractor to lay out the lines for their waterway business. So no, he doesn't ONLY have RTK for mowing his yard....but it does make it look nice.

I'll keep it in mind if I can help you out moving it. Any idea what you might want out of it?

Kind of thinking $2300.

I worked as a new Holland PLM specialist for a couple years out of college. We couldn't hardly give away the older units. The only guys who bought them were smaller guys who wanted to put basic guidance on their planter tractor or sprayer to get their feet wet or something. Bigger guys had money to burn and always went new FM1000 units or intelliview since nearly everything new is equipped for hydro guidance already.

We had our best luck selling lower end or old used stuff on ag talk.

Lol, if I could have $100 for every time someone has said that to me I'd have more money then that well pad is giving us right now :bang

But we use a raven cruiser light bar style. Way more low tech than what your doing. Got it from agland when it was still green valley

Can't say I'm surprised! Duckworth said its impressive.

What all do you use the raven on? Sprayer tractor? Planter? When spreading fertilizer?

The well itself is impressive, but definitely not getting rich off of it haha.

The raven Just to spray with. Alfalfa is hard to see where you sprayed before, and it's handy when spraying corn too so you can tell if your off a row or something of that nature. It's probably not real accurate, but more accurate than my eyes for sure haha

And I thought I clicked on this thread to see some guys building a thermonuclear bomb to send to Baltimore from the area's in our country that haven't yet lost their minds yet. I was wrong...
