Just Picked up a set for my '99.

I see everywhere the diameter to open up the wheels is 4.774.

But this is for the AAM built rears of the 3rd gens. What about the Dana 80. I know they are close but exactly the same,,, I doubt.

What Should I open up to +/- 0.005" tolerance?

I'm guessing that 4.774 is good for the Dana as well since 3rd gen wheels can be swapped directly to the 2nd gen with no problems.

If you look in the H2 rim, you can see how it has a lip. Just machine that lip off and they'll fit... I just used a router on mine. If you have the machine to do it, I would take an extra bit though, mine did fit snug. Not enough that you had to hammer them off, but if they weren't perfectly straight they wouldn't go on. I would say another couple hundredths would be perfect. Either that or just measure your stock wheels!

I used an angle grinder and took off a shade more than necessary (maybe 1/32'' more) Since they're lug-centric, it's as smooth as glass.

I found this pic on TDR
