I know a guy who has a Haisley Competition puller clutch in good used cond. that I can get for $500 (their $2200-$2400) new.

I called them today and they said , they think it would work, has anyone done this.

NV 4500 which this is made for has a 1.400 flywheel, Whats the Getrag?

Nv4500 input shaft is 10 spline 1.25 Dia. Upgrade is 1.375 Dia.

What is the getrag shaft and is there an upgrade?

I will just be pulling at local fairs For FUN from time to time and plan on having 400-500HP RWHP. Will tranny hold up ?

Clutch is probably an overkill and am wandering if the 2000 RPM shift point of this clutch will be burdensome on the road. Since I will be driving a towing mostly with the truck.

i know the stock nv4500 shaft is the same as a getrag i am runnin a dual disk for a second gen in my 1st gen with a getrag

1. Dont know
2. The getrags shaft is 1.25, no upgrades
3. KTA is making 600hp going through his Getrag...

The thing with getrags is oiling issues. Keep the RPMs high to slosh the oil around. Overfill it by 1 qt of 10w-30. Make sure it is 10w-30 as any other oil will kill it. It is ok to come outta the hole with it but dont lug it with low rpm/high torque as it will grenade.

Some history. The Getrag is a medium duty tranny like the Cummins. When Dodge looked for a tranny to hold up to the Cummins, the Getrag 360 won. The reason to go to the NV4500 is because it was cheaper, not because of tranny issues. As someone once said, It is a true 5spd tranny, not a 4spd with a od shaft thrown into it.

HTH

Kta was runnin a pretty slick single disk setup he made last I heard.

Ive heard of the original dd's that used a stock input shaft being used in getrags.
