lookin over some 2.6 rules and seen no hanging wieghts... just wonderin if a lead filled ranchand bumbper would violate that? or is taht cheating? i didn't exactly what HANGING wieghts ment... don't want to be accused of cheating..

Probally if they have a "no hanging weights" rule, they will have a "no aftermarket bumper" rule that cuts the RanchHand out. If not, technically IT IS cheating, but only if you get caught! Everyone always tries to find ways around the rules. GOOD LUCK-Steven

Depends on who is running the show. Some places inspect trucks like NASCAR and would find you illegal.

ya i just don't want to travel a far distance adn be told i can't pulll...... so u think the ranch hand alone isn't allowed?

at our pulls if you run a ranchhand in a class with no hanging weights your hitch height is 1inch lower at 25inch instead of 26inch but most guys around here have a ranchhand since southern iowa has a very high deer population so they dont tech it that hard

any aftermarket bumper which extends past frt bumper would constitute weight and therefore be illegal like brush guards etc. ranchhand is proably the heaviest bumper in production so thats a big advantage . i would say definately call before go. even that doesnt gurantee you will pull also.
i have seen full pull make people remove brush guards that are pure cosmetic and weigh next to nothing.:umno:
