Hard start issues bad

Ok i just put a new vp44 on my 98 two weeks ago iv had my airdog 150 on for almost a month an my truck acts like it dont wanna start sometimes just keeps cranking and sometimes will fire right up but with my other pump witch was an ii hotrod it started fine then started doingsame thing then wouldnt start again but this pupm is brand new an it came from thouroughbred diesel in winchester ky an ist a stock industrial injection replacement it still has a year waranty considering its brand new with less than 1000 miles on it what should i do somebodyplz help me
