Has anyone tryed one of the cry02 intercooler set up's? and if so any noticeable increase in hp on dyno or track times and egt's? Thanks

You don't want to spray CO2 in the engine compartment where it can be sucked into the intake. I have seen CO2 purge valves located on the edge of a fender just to blow all that CO2 into the other guys intake :hehe:

i have put several of the NOS intercooler spray bar kits on different types of vehicles, i put one on a 800hp GMC Syclone and i think it gained 17hp on the dyno, i will have to check through some dyno sheets and see if i can find it, also i know a few high hp Supra's run them with some success.

Your mom has tried one out why dont you just call her she'll let you know how they work

Someone had to do it your mom was to exhausted to pick it up

Seen several of these kits from diffrent manufactures at PRI This year, We have a setup on order to try on a 2.6 truck, and Dave Radierez(sp?) bought a few kits from Smax i believe to try on the monster truck

So basically it wouldn't be such a problem if it weren't dumping furious amounts of co2 near the intake of the engine.

I'm guessing these bars have orifices drilled around them so the co2 escapes from several points?

If not, make a coil out of tubing and put an orifice in it at the beginning, connect an exhaust hose/tube to that and run it rearward behind the engine. Be sure and use a syphon type co2 tank.

I would think the same danger exists with no2 being pulled into the engine in an unregulated manor... Not nearly as detrimental though...

And I bet the CO2 doesn't exit near the intake. If I recall he's using cooling bulbs in the intake, something similar to this:

Yes john uses bulbs and also uses the spray bars on the hellman intercooler. It hasnt ever really helped with track times and i will also say that at the end of a run that intercooler is easily as hot as the backside of the turbo and im not even exagerating.
