So we pulled in Franklin last weekend (May 23rd). I took out a trans in the process. I dropped the truck at my buddies shop to have the trans R&R'd because I don't have ANY time anymore.

Thursday night (before RPM fest), I stopped over to start the truck so we could fill it with trans fluid. *super secret starting setup* :bang

I looked at the comp wheel and said OH ****.. Apparently the turbo ate the intake screen, you know, the one that is supposed to keep the turbo from eating large items.. I hadn't got a good look at the comp wheel at Franklin as it was dark.

Anyways, I called up Chris & Glenn and they put something together for me to *abuse* for the weekend. Chris drove down to the Blue Chip where we were staying Friday night and dropped the charger off. Truck ran great!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I've not come across the kind of customer service i've recieved from Chris at E.D. ever and i've spent waaaay more money at many different shops (back in my ls1 gas motor days). Hats off to him and his products!

I guess a few things went wrong at franklin!

I hope he got your nice "Super Special" Pulling Filter on that Air shut off! I knew that Walmart screen was bad news!

The screen I had wasn't from walmart.. It was just a piece of window screen. The one you used from the noodle strainer is still working great.
 
Heck I ran that noodle strainer and it auctually worked quite well!!!!

Ya, what was wron with the trans????? Or was it the transfercase?
 
It was something in the trans, not sure yet, its sitting in the corner of the shop.

I am sure small amounts of the screen went into the trans, though there was a decent amount in the air-water core.
