Have somebody installed 2nd gen RAM cab/bed to 3rg gen frame?

I have seen picture about 2006 front end and bed with 2nd gen quad cab.

Was it in 2nd gen frame or 3rd frame?

I knew th 3rd gen frame is 4 inch wider than 2nd gen frame.

It's long gone but there was a 3rd cab c&c on a 2nd gen frame running around my area for awhile, never got to see it real close
