He351ve issues

I put a he351ve on my 03 about a year ago and it has worked great. I have a fleece controller on it. Lately as I start my truck or as I'm driving it, it seems like the vains start closing. It will start bogging and whistling and once I touch the knob it will stop and go back to normal and then do it again a few minutes later. Would this be the electronics going out or something else? Any help would be great!

I'm not too familiar with holsets but I assuming it has a vane position sensor. If it sounds like the vanes are opening and closing at idle the VPS may be your problem.

COuld well be sooting up...even without external EGR, the 3rd gen engines produce soot from the several injection events. Probably it's time to clean the exhaust housing and vanes, but I would call Fleece and see what they say as well. Be sure to post back.
