never changed one.would like some help please.i just got done with the tranny 2 weeks ago and now this.thanks for the help.

take of the turbo, manifold, valve cover, rocker arms, push rods, intake horn, everything else attached to the head

front end, radiator intercooler all that jazz.

pull the head, clean and install everything.

unbolt the manifold and push it off to the side. remove the valve cover and remove: rockers, fuel lines, cross over tubes, injectors, push rods, drain the radiator then unbolt the head and lift the head off. no need to remove the front end.

thanks.do the rockers have to go back to the same valve.what i mean is do you keep track.do you number them?does it matter if 1intake goes on 5intake?

best way to do it is get 6 little plastic containers and number them 1-6 and then put the removed items in the proper container.

or flip the valve cover over and place everything near their respective cylinder

I always keep them in order. Those rear push tubes can be really frustrating if you don't know about the little rubber cap deals in the back, just above them.

thank you guys.i was also told that the windshield wipers all the way up help with geting the rear pushrods out.it gets the arm out of the way.
