head gasket question?

i have a 2006 common rail with the head oringed and a blown gasket. i hear that with oringing that u have to use a old (90s) head gasket is this true false or what????? if not what gasket can be used with a oringed head? i didnt see why u coulnt use the felpro,or cummins mls. i dont tear these down all the time. need some input!!!

You can not use an MLS gasket on an o-ringed head. There must be some sort of material for you to push the o-rings into. We sell .020 over gaskets that are designed to work with o-rings on the CR.
