Head Gaskets

OK I'm going to tackle head gaskets on my truck what do i need to know other than get the heads pressure tested when you get them off and studs when you put them back on. All info is very appreciated any tips hints special things i should do??

There is some debate as to whether you should stud a motor without honing after due to cylinder distortion. Maybe look up ARPs old torque specs as I think they were lower than the current spec.
