I've had this issue for the past 3 weeks or so. My truck will randomly blow a light white smoke through the vents in the cab. It does it with the air/heat on or off, it doesn't matter, and it seems to do it randomly. It smells like a mixture of syrup and burnt piss. I feel like it's either the headgasket or something going south with the heater core, but it does it with everything off so im not really sure. Any suggestions as to what it might be, what to check and so on?? If it is the headgasket, can i just use the stock head bolts and retorque them to 130/lbs or so? Thanks in advance for any advice/help.

Coolant goes through the core, even with the heat off. Just a blend door in the dash to control the cab temp.

Or it could be a spirit. Sometimes Ghosts appear as a mist. But due to the smell, I'd say its safe to start pricing heater cores.

thanks for the help guys. Heck i'd almost rather it be the damn headgasket.
