heads and head gaskets

just pulled the motor apart and found out that i have cracks starting in my heads:nail:. whats the best place to get new heads from. and also talkd to a company about the o ringind heads and he said that the black onyx are no good and to use the oem gaskets. any input is greatly appreciated thanks

Black onyx gaskets are fine. Having a flat head and block surface is key

Stock head gaskets are great. Factory heads are big bucks - 1400.00 ea.!
There is a guy who welds up 6.0 heads. Tri-State cyl. heads-- Mark Whitehead
800-270-0095 Evansville IN. He told me 250.00 per head to weld up cracks.
That's a whole lot cheaper than new. I have bought new ones, they crack too.
Used heads go for about 500 a piece here - IF they aren't cracked. New heads are complete with valves & springs.
