Does anyone know the size of the fittings that screw into the exchanger? or on the exchanger itself? I can have a line made that would just bolt in place of the exchanger but I dont know what size fittings to have put on the line, Thanks for any help.

i took mine completely off, cut the lines off the trans and spliced in some -8 an fittings and braided hose, that was it goes straight up to the exchanger up front and the nback to the trans. i never have a problem overheating even while plowing snow. i jus tmake sure it gets plenty of warm up time.

While I was working for a Transmission shop we by-passed it all the time. It had a tendency to get clogged up with metal fragments, lining, etc. Also the front needed replaced half the time too.

Thanks guys, I was just curious, Fluid Dynamics is hooking me up with 2 steel 90deg compression fittings and then a piece of hydraulic hose that will thread on, I was just curious if someone actually threaded a spacer piece on to the ends.:Cheer:

hope this helps

Im planning on running an auxillary cooler with a fan mounted on the frame rail in series with the grille mounted one. Is there any order the lines should be run or does it matter (to which cooler first)? Which port on the trans is pressure and which is the return?

1/2"NPT in the exchanger itself. I had one gall up on me. Just replaced it with a 1/2"npt X 1/2 compression fitting.
