heater control works backwards?

Ok so I know I've read about it somewhere and can't find it anywhere. I just picked up an 05 and the heater control works backwards. Hot is cold and cold it hot. Does anyone know why this is and what to look for?

I've seen this happen on a jeep liberty. What happened was the blend air door went past its stop inside the heater box and was basically working backwards.
