im starting to get a coolant smell in the cab, and the insulation was wet when i had the carpet out. I don't drive the truck in the winter, so I think im going to bypass the heater core, atleast for now. Can i plug the port in the head and lower rad hose, or is that going to increase the already poor flow of cool coolant to the rear of the head.

If it is, would it be better to plug the heater core hole in the head and bring it back to furthest one back to aid in cooling?

I dont want to just loop the lines, ill either do it nice w/ braided line or plug them

thanks.

I put a valve on mine after the head so my a/c will run colder, but I guess you could do the same and not have the leak.

Like so...

well i guess that means i can safely plug it, thanks.

does anyone know if leaving a line there will help cooling?
