What would cause my heater not to blow hot? The engine temps raise to 185, but when I turn the temp knob all the way to hot, it doesn't blow hot. It blows kinda warm, but not hot. Could this be a vacuum issue, or a problem with the mixing door?

reverse the hoses on the engine above the turbo going to the heater core. Id assume you have a plugged heater core and this will usually unplug it temporarily to get heat. Run it awhile with them crossed then switch them back.

That makes sense. I'll try disconnecting the hoses to flush the heater core with the garden hose.

I wouldnt try taking the hoses off the core itself because they tend to smash and never reseal. Remove them from the engine hard lines themselves.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look at it tomorrow after work.

Depending on the age of the hoses, go pick some hose up and gently cut the old ones off, sometimes it's worth the $10 to save the aggravation.

Thanks. I've got Bob's silicone hoses, so they should come off ok.

Agreed... I smashed mine. Got it back to shape and got it to seal, but it took a few tries to get it right with no leaks
