i just wanted to say hello from a common rail puller to you guys as i have purchased my first vp truck. it's gonna be my new tow rig for the puller. picked it for $4500 and it's an 01 with 140K on the clock. didn't thank that was a bad deal seing it has a built auto, edge comp, fass pump and 50HP injectors. trucks AC/cruise doesent work and has a pretty big oil leak but everything else is good. it runs good but cranks long when the motor is cold. fires fine when its warmed up. new vp 40k ago. gonna be a good winter project. i'll do some research on the issues it has i just wanted to give you a little formal hello. here is a couple pics

haha couldn't pass up the deal. injection pumps are vp issues which i would much rather have than the common moter melting down muth CR's. been lucky so far on that one though. lift pump is working. dunno what the pressure is though. just got the truck and am not starting on it till pullin season is over so i will get pressures then. oil leak is coming from the top end somewhere i believe like valve cover/headgasket area. it smokes blue on start up, especially when its cold, so thats why im just assuming its head gasket. im sure i'll have plenty of questions for you guys once i tear into it. i know CR's inside and out, low voltage and high but am new to the vp electronic system.
