hey guys, from Louisville KY, just curious if anyone knows about a cummins 4bt in a dakota. I'm looking real hard into doing the swap, as a little project. I know this is a "race-sled pulling" site, (but i'll work to that level later, when i can afford it) but i thought maybe some guys that have been around the block might be able to help me out. all advice and suggestions are appreciated. thanks, brian aka dakota4bt

I believe someone swapped a 6BT into a lifted Dakota in PA. Looked pretty cool too. I think it was in Diesel Power magazine.

Just out of Curiosity? What kinda of millage can you get out of your 6BT in the Dakota?

It depends on how i drive it. I have gotten as good as 22-25 but I average like 18-20
