i have a set that are 8x6.5 bolt pattern and i need some center caps but dont want to pay 50 a piece for them what do yall think i should use or where to get some cheap ones that will fit
 
cant i just stuff some regular ol centers in that push thru form the back of the rim
 
IIRC, I used some American Racing metal center caps on mine when I had some. The caps that come with them are / were plastic & did not last long. Like you, I was adamant about not paying what they wanted either. Just mahe sure whatever you use had an o-ring to keep from rattling. I just took the ones off of the plastic crap.
