Help, constant squeal front under the truck

It just started and it's a constant high pitched squeal that seems to get louder the slower you go. I did cut through a plowed field this weekend when it was raining but it doesn't sound like it's coming from the brakes. Do u-joints make a constant squeal when they go out? Any help would be appreciated as to what could cause it and how I can tell if it's a u-joint.

Edit: The title should say from not front...

It could possibly be a u-joint or it may be some crap up in the brakes. I recommend hosing everything off under there and seeing if that helps. I'm betting a u-joint though. Is it coming from the front or the back?

Hahaha, nice avatar...It sounded like it was coming directly underneath the truck. I took the center caps off, which by the way are pieces of chit (moto metal 951s) and hosed out the brakes and around the rear yoke and it hasn't squealed again, now I just have a slight squeal when I apply the brakes so I know I need to get underneath the truck and do a good cleaning as it's pretty nasty. It does look like a bunch of junk is slinging off of the u-joint right out of the t-case....Doing a little mudding is fun, but the cleanup sure does suck...

First of all, let's get one thing straight. Please....PLEASE...DON'T tell me you are one of those types that when it rains goes out and drives through folks' crop land. I surely to God hope you don't do that. My buddy had been fighting those a**holes for 6 month from OSU that have been tearing up his wheat. Since I don't know you personally I can only speculate on what I just read and PRAY you don't do this. I hope you farm and you drove across your own plowed feild.

Say it isn't so.:poke:

Man, ball bustin this early???? Nah, it's my buddies land that butts up against his house and we just cut the corner pulling into the driveway....however his driveway is about a mile long and it's that gray cleachy junk that leaves rocks all over and under your truck. Somebody enjoying their Tuesday?? :smirk:

Sorry dude. I just read that and thought of these guys we have been trying to catch (or competely ruin their tires) so I had to ask.

Carry on....! :D

Forget the flat tires...nice avatar :rockwoot:

Jory should win best avatar.

Ryan, I hate cleaning up after mudding. That's why I quit going. That and because it caused weird noises to pop up. I say just a good thorough cleaning should shut the squeek up.

Thanks Tyler!

When my 4-wheeler starts squeekin' I drive it across the pond and back. It quits.

I love those wheels on your truck man..if you'll remember I asked you about them a while back....what's the downside about the center caps?? Just curious cause I was thinkin about puttin a set on my truck

The centercaps just get loose and start squeakin as well as flyin off. They just aren't made well but the wheels are bad ace...the only other wheel I would have bought besides the 951's were rockstars.
