I run a MITUSA setup with a reulated return to the supply side. Generally runs 14PSI no matter what you do to it............ Until yesterday... FP was dropping to 2 PSI @ idle..... Plugged filter right? Changed it out... no help. Now I'm getting 9PSI or so @ 70MPH...

I'm reading pressure on the outlet side of the filter, and when you crack the drain valve on the filter @ idle, I barely get a dribble.

I'm thinking I have a piece of trash stuck somewhere in the regulator, or the pump is screwed up, although I don't know how it could be....

Any thoughts? Leave it to me to break a mechanical lift pump.

Not adjustable..... It is a 2 in 2 out H shaped unit.... Returns to supply side.

Maybe the pick up in the tank could be plugged with something. If your still running the stock basket that's a pretty good chance.

You may be on to something Brucey........ I'm gonna see if I can scope the tank

Pull the pick up hose off of your pump and stick it in a 5 gal can of diesel and see if it works then. If it does you know the pick up is plugged in the tank . If it doesn't then it is probably something to do with the pump. If it is plugged in the tank I have a fix for that.

Strange..... IT has been at 15 all day today. no matter what.....

Must be a fish in the tank that runs up and plugs the pickup.

Friend who worked at the local Case tractor dealer had a similar issue, turned out to be an empty chip bag someone had stuffed in the tank. You haven't been annoying the prius drivers around town again have you?

Disgruntled steering wheel holder + Twinkie wrapper = problem?
