Ok im lookin at buyin an 02 with 136k miles on it. PERFECT condition no rust no dings. Ext cab short box auto. Its got a HX 40, Studs, gauges, exhaust. He wants 12,900 and hes givin me 7,000 for my car thats worth 5k. He wants to get out of it because it lopes and dies when you drive it and none of the dealers can figure it out but i think its big lines and connector tubes??? What do you guys think. It will lope bad enough to shake the truck and if you dnt double foot it itl die. The dealer checked the injectors and there good. I have stock lines and tubes from my P-pump conversion so i could throw them on it. He wont let me put the lines on and see how it runs he just wants out of it. Did the 3 key truck and the codes were P1693, p0122 and the cam sensor 0341 code. Sound like somethin major? THanks
 
as long as it sounds smooth to rule out a dropped valve seat, or cracked ring etc. I wouldn't be scared of it. sounds like injector pop off issue or lines and tubes.

So is there any way to tell. It drives down the road great. The lope is a constant lope and once in and while it will run smooth.
 
Means the APPS needs to be adjusted or replaced. Does the truck have aftermarket lines and tubes on it? If so rip those suckers off and put stock lines back on it and the problem will be solved.
 
Ok i just found out that is doesnt have an 02 motor in it. I talked to a shop that workd on it and they said the motor year wasnt matching the truck wirring.
 
Huh? What year engine is in it and why has the engine been replaced?
 
Doesn't sound like someone's being honest and is trying to sell you a problem truck. I'd walk away and find something better.
 
I called the dealer and they said its not the same year motor. Im gana let this truck pass. Thanks for the help guys
