When i start my truck it takes a long time to build oil pressure. Changed the oil and the same thing happened. I had the truck idleing today while checking the AC and walked back to my truck and the guage was reading 0. I only seem to have problems when i start it up or it's idleing. When i start it and can't get pressure I rev it a little and it slowly comes up. After i take off and drive a little i have no problems unless i shut it down. Any help people.
ok i put a mechanical guage on and it still says i have no pressure at an idle. If i am driving it is fine but if i stop at a red light too long or i just start it up i have no oil pressure until i start driving again. I have not noticed any unusual noises and i even got under the hood when it had no pressure. I also changed the oil filter tonight and still acts the same. Some one help me i'm a little worried
