got a truck at the shop doing something I havnt seen before.

when you start it the thing immediately go's into a lope for about 10 sec then it dies. restarts just fine but again instant lope. no throttle either does the same thing with the tps unplugged. everything checked out on the scanner including all sensors. truck did have a code at one time but the owner cleared it and it hasn't came back since. owner replaced the lift pump with a factory carter pump and its holding good pressure.

so at this point I thought it had to be the vp so I tossed a new one on.....

nope, the truck still does the same thing. i'm gong to try an ecm tomorrow.
 
Lope - like the cold idle lope, or a miss?

If the ecm doesn't do it can you check the pop pressures for the injectors?

Coolant temp shows correct on scan tool

No miss it hits on all 6. Truck started doing this all at once according to the owner so I doubt all 6 injectors screwed up at once.

All dry...plus that wouldn't explain the no throttle
