I purchased an alpine CDA-117 from best buy and finally got to install it in my truck. I was realy pumped because everything sounded good! Then I tried to hook my iphone in to the head unit and it would only play through the subs. So I figured it was just the iphone or the cable.Then i tried to play a cd, and it did the same thing only played through the subs.
I started messing with the truck early this morning and still cant get the head unit to play a cd or songs off of my iphone. I have set all the settings back to where they came from Alpine still nothing. Then I started moving my av cables and found if one(the positive or negative) is unplugged the subs work with the radio(the way they should).
After finding this I checked my grounds, all were good. Then checked my power (key switch and constant) and it was good.
I think I have a bad head unit. What do you guys think?
