I bought a Dana 80 out of a 2002 truck.

The park brake cables were messed up while it was at the yard so I bought new one sfrom Napa.

The problem is the aren't the same and I'm not sure how they hook up?

The factory ones have a hook end and intergrated spring on the brake side and a barrel deal on the other end. The Napa ones have a barrel on both ends and the cable is a good 4-5" longer.

Schucks and Rock Auto are selling the same ones as well so I guess it's the right thing.

Are you sure you have the right ones from Napa? I would return them and buy Dodge ones. Being a mechanic by trade, I've come to find out that certain things like E-Brake cables are best coming from the dealer. You can get aftermarket ones and have them be a couple inches long or a couple inches short.

I didn't check with the stealer yet. They wanted $348 for the ~ 12" long brake line that goes to the left caliper, so I can only imagine what the park brake cables are going for!

The best I can figure is the cables are made for drum brake setups. Napa, Schucks, Rock Auto, etc all say the cables I have are correct for my application.

I ordered a set from the dealer. ~ $75 for the 2 of them. Napa cost on the 2 I bought was around $50, so that's not terrible.
