Driving down the freeway today, I reset my overhead mileage thing and about 5 minutes later I looked up and the display read ccd. I pulled up the trouble codes on my Edge monitor and it had a code (P2503 I believe) that said charging system output low and also a companion code. On my monitor it said 14 volts, so I cleared the codes. On the return trip it did the same thing. What's the deal? 14 volts should be plenty shouldn't it?

Probably a bad ground. Mine did that when I swapped the 12 valve in. I had a few loose grounds so I cleaned and tightened all of them. It's been fine ever since.

Pardon my ignorance, but where do I look for these potential loose grounds?

Two on the block coming from the batteries, one up front on the driver's side fender, there are some on the firewall and I'm sure more I'm not remembering. I relocated my ECM to the pass side and I think there was one in that wiring harness. You can check your alt connections too.
