Help!

Okay im going to shorten the whole story but on a friends truck the liftpump went down. Limped it back home and replaced liftpump drove a couple blocks truck sputtered and died. Cycle liftpump a couple times runs for a second then dies. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Truck is a stock 2004.5. Also has new fuel filter. Ive been told by a good reputable mechanic and compd member that it was probally an injector going down but would like to gather opinions before we pull the injectors

How about diag it before throwing parts at it? How about fuel pressure? Any leaks? Start simple before you go spending money.

Liftpump was tested. It was completly shot. And no codes now. Checked all lines no leaks. Has good fuel supply and the trucl will actually fill up the fuel filter canister now. The liftpump completly stopped pumping before we replaced it
