Ok im looking at a few trucks...and theres a 2000 f250 7.3 etc stock engine...It has 38's on it with stock gearing....How bad is that gonna be? and is it even realistic?

More than likely the truck has 3.73's in it but may have 4.10's If it has the 4.10 and you put in a programmer of some kind and intake and exhasut it would be ok but better with 4.56. I honestly would recommend puting an intake, exhaust and programmer/ chip in it with or with out big tires. It is healthier for the engine, and will give better fuel milage. With those add ons with either of the gears ratios in it it would be ok and not anything to be bothered about. I think personally I would be happy with the 4.10's Just me though I would have to then drive it to make a better call on it.

I am running 37's and 3.73 gears... no issues... Even if I have to pull the chip for a day or so it still moves fine!
